Thomas Campus serves students in 7th through 12th grade in South Philadelphia. Our career-connected learning opportunities provide students with hands-on experience in their chosen fields & the opportunity to earn job certifications while still in high school.

  • JEVS partnership empowers students to secure medical assistant certification
  • City College for Municipal Employment provides free workforce training and a pathway to employment with the City of Philadelphia

We provide ample support to students planning to advance to college after graduation.

  • College selection and acceptance support (advising, tours, essay feedback, test prep)
  • Support to apply for scholarships and financial aid
  • Dual enrollment opportunities with the Community College of Philadelphia and College Together enable students to earn college credit while still in high school

Every Mastery school has a dedicated school culture team that is responsible for ensuring a positive and safe school community. Our schools observe common rituals, such as morning circles, community meetings, and school events that celebrate the school community and the joy of learning. We also ensure that school rules and values are consistently supported and enforced. Our teachers adopt standard school-wide classroom behavior systems, ensuring that students are held to consistently high expectations. We intentionally create a community that strikes a balance between structure and student independence, allowing schools to feel both orderly and joyful. Mastery’s student uniform consists of a Mastery logo collared shirt, solid-colored pants, Mastery logo sweaters/sweatshirts, closed-toe, flat-soled shoes, and head coverings for religious purposes. Hoodies and t-shirts, regardless of logo, are not permitted. 

Our uniform policy designates specific colors by grade level: 

  • 7th-8th grade: Grey polos or sweatshirts
  • 9th – 11th grade: Navy polos or sweatshirts
  • 12th grade: Royal blue polos or sweatshirts

Uniforms can be purchased at Triple Play Sports located at 827 S 9th Street in Philadelphia. For more information on purchasing uniforms, please contact the main office at 267-236-0036.

  • Looking for a seat for the current school year (2025-2026)? You can still apply online today using the Apply Philly Charter website. Just look for the 2025-2026 enrollment portal link on the home page.

Please note: If you applied for the 2026-2027 school year by the January 20, 2026, priority deadline, lottery results will be made available via the Apply Philly Charter portal on February 6. Our Principal

Chanelle Baylor

Chanelle Baylor is the proud principal of Thomas High School. Before becoming the school’s leader, she served as the school’s assistant principal of operations for 6 years, then stepped into the acting principal role in 2024. Principal Baylor has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and a master’s degree from Lincoln University.
