Jumpstart Your Career in Education

The Mastery Teaching Residency offers individuals seeking an innovative pathway into the teaching profession the opportunity to do so with coaching and support. We are seeking passionate people to join our team as dynamic educators to provide a top-quality education for all of our students. Mastery Schools is known as the destination of choice for high-performing education professionals, and the Mastery Teaching Residency is excellent for emerging educators to learn and grow as they serve our students and families. The multi-year program prepares aspiring educators, including recent college graduates and career changers, to provide rigorous instruction to students through hands-on training and educational support.

Two-Year Commitment

In year one, residents serve as full-time support teachers while working with a lead teacher as their mentor. Residents will also receive professional development from school leaders, learn from graduate school faculty partners,  and connect with instructional coaches from the central office as a gradual on-ramp to the field of education.

During year two, residents can advance to the lead teacher role if they demonstrate they are promotion-ready by the end of the first year or continue to develop their skills as a support teacher. By the conclusion of the program, participants have earned invaluable experience, advanced degrees, and certification to ensure their success as educators.
