Sandra Dominguez, a dedicated bilingual ESL teacher at Molina Lower Elementary, has been honored with the 2024 RISE Teaching Award from the Camden Education Fund (CEF). This recognition highlights her exceptional commitment to education and outstanding contributions to her students and the community.

Dominguez, one of three recipients this year, was surprised in her classroom by a team including Bob Kelly of Fox 29, Mastery Schools CEO Dr. Joel Boyd, Vic Carstarphen Mayor of Camden, Camden City School District Superintendent Katrina McCombs, and CEF Executive Director Giana Campbell. During the surprise visit, Dominguez was presented with $5,000 and a certificate of achievement.

Established in 2020, the RISE Award celebrates Camden educators who bring resilience, inspiration, and innovative solutions to their teaching practice. The award emphasizes the importance of high-quality instruction and the significant role teachers play in shaping the future of our students.
