Yvette A. Núñez serves as the Chief of Staff for Mastery Schools. Núñez joined the organization as the chief of external affairs in January 2023 under founder Scott Gordon. In her role, Núñez oversees a diverse portfolio, including advocacy, communications, development, and external partnerships, and serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO and the executive team.

Throughout her 25-year career, Núñez has led external strategies for local and national nonprofit organizations, including UnidosUS and the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia. She has been recognized for her work by city and state leaders and the Hispanic Bar Association. Núñez currently serves as a board member for The CEIBA – Latino Equitable Development Collective and PIDC’s Community Capital Advisory Board. She holds a master’s of public administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Temple University.
