Monique Dolcy is the proud principal of Frederick Douglass Elementary. Principal Dolcy grew up in the Bronx, New York, and moved to Delaware to raise her family. Throughout her career, she has served as a teacher, dean, assistant principal of school culture, principal fellow, and acting principal.
Principal Dolcy earned her bachelor’s degree in humanities from the College of New Rochelle, her master’s degree in organizational leadership from Strayer University, and her principal certification through the Delaware Leadership Project.
Named as a 2024 Neubauer fellow, Principal Dolcy is committed to culturally responsive, evidence-based practices that will help students succeed. She brings to Frederick Douglass her love for people, children, Mastery, and a desire to be part of revolutionary education for Black and Brown communities.
When she is not visiting classrooms, meeting with parents, or engaging with students, she can be found in her kitchen whipping up something amazing.
