“I have always desired to be a teacher, but I took other routes in my life. I just didn’t feel fulfilled in what I was doing, so I decided to pursue being a teacher. It’s very challenging, I will not lie, but it was definitely worth it. With the Mastery Teaching Residency, we would actually practice teaching. It wasn’t just school, it wasn’t just working towards the certification or the Master’s degree. They gave us the tools that we needed, whether it was the cameras to record ourselves or providing us with scripts to help us be able to talk to students.”
