Kate McNulty is the proud principal of Gratz Prep Middle. Before joining the school’s leadership team, Principal McNulty served for three years as the network’s senior director of school culture. With over a decade of experience in education, she has held various roles, including teacher, school leader, and network leader. Principal McNulty began her teaching career with the School District of Philadelphia, teaching middle school math before joining the team at Simon Gratz High School, where she taught social-emotional learning and pre-algebra.

At Gratz Prep Middle, Principal McNulty hopes to expand the school’s rich academic and extracurricular culture to create opportunities for students to thrive inside and outside of the school community. Principal McNulty holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Thomas Jefferson University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania.
