
Jessica Varevice serves as the Chief Schools Officer for Mastery Schools. In this role, she oversees the network’s regional school officers to support strong outcomes while ensuring alignment with the goals of the network’s five-year strategic plan. Before being appointed to Chief Schools Officer, Varevice led the central academic team and managed curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development, and coaching for instructional staff as the network’s Chief Academic Officer. Her career in education began as a teacher at John B. Stetson Middle School in Philadelphia, and her experience includes a decade of leadership at The New Teacher Project (TNTP), where she worked as a consultant focused on teacher quality, leadership development, Common Core implementation, human capital strategy, and school turnaround Varevice holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently finishing her doctorate in educational leadership, management, and policy at Seton Hall University.
