Ashley Anderson is the proud principal of Pastorius-Richardson Elementary. After beginning her educational career as a teacher at Hardy Williams Elementary in 2010, she then moved on to serve as assistant principal of instruction at Pastorius before assuming her current role.
Principal Anderson’s educational philosophy is rooted in her unwavering belief that all students can learn when provided with a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family—all of which are present at Pastorius.
She holds a bachelor’s degree with dual certifications in early childhood and elementary education from California University of Pennsylvania, as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership from Saint Joseph’s University. In 2017, she earned her principal certification through TNTP’s grant-funded program, Philly PLUS (Pathway to Urban Leadership).
Outside of school, Principal Anderson enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, exploring new places, and trying different foods.
