Smedley Elementary School will make history when it becomes the first inner-city mastery school to compete at the UCA Nationals in Florida later this month.

The school’s all-girls cheer team — comprised of first through sixth graders without any prior competitive cheer experience — has earned a spot to compete at the upcoming UCA Nationals competition.
