Schools Transition to Mask Optional March 9, 2022

Families

As a reminder, after consulting with PDPH and the Camden County Health Department, Mastery Schools are transitioning to masks optional for students and staff effective tomorrow.  Note that local and national guidance on bus masking is evolving so we are asking all Mastery students to have a mask with them when on a school bus, school van, or public transportation.

We are still encouraging students and families to exercise precautions to ensure the health and safety of our school communities by:

  • Staying home if you are sick
  • Getting tested if you are showing COVID-like symptoms
  • Isolating if you test positive for COVID-19
  • Quarantining if you are a close contact of someone who is COVID-19 positive

Finally, if rates rise or local guidance changes in the future, we will re-evaluate our plan.  To monitor COVID rates, we will continue to test 10% of all students and maintain distancing. Please respect everyone’s individual decision to wear or not wear a mask indoors.
