Mastery Schools is proud to introduce Onome Emore as the network’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). Onome is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience guiding large organizations to success. She also brings expertise in strategic leadership, innovation, and team management to the role. 

As COO, Onome will lead the NST Operations Team and work closely with the CEO, Cabinet, and Executive Team to ensure efficiency across various functions, including student enrollment and facilities management. 

Before joining Mastery, Onome founded Bai’Zeh Consulting to help a diverse range of organizations and leaders navigate the complexities of maintaining robust and healthy operations. Her consultancy focused on enhancing operational efficiencies and amplifying the impact of organizational programs through capacity building and strengthening of the leadership and staff. Prior to founding Bai’Zeh Consulting, Onome guided leadership teams as the Chief of Staff for the Camden City School District. During her time there, she was instrumental in implementing a strategic vision for Camden schools, including redesigning the district’s portfolio. She also served as the district’s Chief Operations Officer, managing key business functions and guiding the district through the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Earlier in her career, Onome contributed significantly to the New Jersey Department of Education, leading the design and implementation of a revised charter school accountability framework, ensuring compliance, and successfully guiding renewals of charters across the state. 

Onome holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, a master’s degree in Curriculum & Teaching from Fordham University, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and African Studies from the University of Maryland – College Park.
