The powerful collaboration between Mastery Schools and College Together has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Phillip B. Lindy Award for Excellence in K-16 Partnerships. This esteemed award celebrates our partnership’s commitment to fostering exceptional educational opportunities for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, aiming for long-term impact while meeting the needs of our schools and the communities we serve. 

The success of this partnership is highlighted through the experience of students like Markeisha Hutchinson from Mastery’s Pickett Campus. Thanks to the support and guidance provided by College Together, Markeisha is on track to graduate with both her high school diploma and an associate’s degree in June 2025. Markeisha, who is interested in entrepreneurship and plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree after graduation, credits College Together with significantly shaping her academic journey. “College Together has helped me be consistent and stay disciplined,” she shared. “The relaxed atmosphere of the workspace allowed me to focus on my goals, which will help me achieve success after graduation. I want to provide for my family and be someone they can look up to.”

This impactful partnership, led by Mastery’s dedicated Postsecondary Team, is a testament to what is possible when organizations collaborate in support of a shared vision. Imani Price, Assistant Director of Postsecondary Partnerships, has been instrumental in the partnership’s success. Her leadership has helped bridge the gap between the high school experience and higher education to ensure students like Markeisha get the crucial support and encouragement they need to succeed and pursue their dreams. 

Mastery Schools and College Together will now share a $4,000 award to further enhance their mission and vision of our collaborative, supporting initiatives.
