PHILADELPHIA – High school senior Edward Scarborough has been busy this year. He applied to 43 colleges across the country — and was accepted to all of them.

He has also amassed more than $900,000 combined in scholarship offers.

The student at Mastery Charter School Lenfest Campus said his 4.17 GPA helped him stand out. He and other high school seniors all over the U.S. shared their upcoming college plans on National Decision Day earlier this week.

Scarborough, of North Philadelphia, is turning down 42 acceptances — including from Penn State and Howard University — to attend Clark Atlanta University in Georgia this fall.
