The former Smedley Elementary and Lenfest Campus student, who was named 2023 Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball and the 2023 McDonald’s All-American, went on to the University of Kentucky and is a shining example of excellence.
Daeqwon Plowden, who graduated from Pickett Campus in 2017, is also taking his talents to the big leagues. He was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the Public League C Division in 2016, receiving a scholarship offer from Bowling Green University.

After showcasing his skills as a free agent, he has solidified a deal with the Golden State Warriors and he’s taking his A-game to the West Coast, according to NBC Sports.
The Mastery Schools community could not be prouder of these two exceptional athletes and will support these alumni on their amazing journey.
