Community partners from Guaranteed Rate, Compass Real Estate, Clearly Dental, Barre3 Cherry Hill, and Klein’s Supermarket spread holiday cheer last week by delivering 300 turkeys to six Mastery schools ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Leading the charge were Mike Tavani (Guaranteed Rate) and Colleen Hadden (The Colleen Hadden Group, Compass Real Estate), who have partnered with the network for the past five years to donate turkeys to Mastery families – adding new collaborators and growing the effort each year. The two leading members expressed their excitement for the effort, saying, “This is such a special day for our group, and we’re overjoyed that this year’s donation is our biggest yet. We can’t think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than making these deliveries.”

School leaders and student volunteers at Mastery’s Gratz campus were thrilled to meet the donors out front to unload more than 125 turkeys for their school community on Friday. Mastery Prep Elementary and Gratz Prep Middle families picked up their turkeys that afternoon, and Simon Gratz High School staff distributed their share at the school’s annual Gratz Gives event hosted in partnership with Bloomberg University the following day. Other recipients included Wister Elementary, Cleveland Elementary, and Molina Elementary.

Connections like this, between community partners and schools, strengthen our network. We’re thankful to all who participated.
