Juneteenth

Mastery will be closed in honor of Juneteenth, the holiday that recognizes the end of slavery in the United States.  On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans were read the Emancipation Proclamation in Galveston, Texas. Celebrations on this day date back to the first anniversary of slavery’s end in 1866.
