Cramer Hill Elementary is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year. Please follow the steps below to apply online by the priority deadline of February 16, 2024.

  • Fill out your family profile 
  • Select “2024-2025” as the school year you want to apply for
  • Select “Neighborhood Guaranteed School” or “Open Enrollment,” depending on how many schools you’d like to apply to
  • Confirm school selection/s (and rank school preference if doing Open Enrollment)
  • Complete and submit your application

Your Neighborhood School in Cramer Hill

Cramer Hill is a neighborhood elementary school serving close to 720 students and their families in kindergarten through 8th grade. We are in the top ten schools in Camden for both math and English Language Arts proficiency (grades 3-8). Our students also exceed national trends in growth for both math and reading.

Our state-of-the-art building has a gym, playground, soccer field, library and science labs. Students get free breakfast and lunch. We also have an aftercare program.

Congratulations to the Cramer Hill team on being recognized as Blue Ribbon School of Excellence through the national non-profit organization. After undergoing a rigorous review process, the team was notified of the award. The review process includes 9 performance categories for review including student focus and support, school organization and culture, challenging standards and curriculum, active teaching and learning, technology integration, professional community, leadership and educational vitality, school, family and community partnerships and indicators of success. The team will be celebrated at a conference in Florida this fall with other honorees from around the country. Congratulations Cramer Hill!

Cramer Hill uniforms are available for purchase at Uniform City in downtown Camden 721 Broadway, Camden, NJ 08103.

 

Feel free to call (856) 963-7680 to check store hours before arriving.

 

All families receive a free uniform voucher from the school at the beginning of each school year. This is redeemable at Uniform City Please call the Cramer Hill front desk 856-726-0027 or stop by 1001 N 17th St, Camden NJ 08105 to receive your child’s voucher. Vouchers are typically available at the end of July for the upcoming school year.

 

At Cramer Hill, students in grades 3-8 wear a gray polo with the Mastery logo. Students in grades K-2 wear a royal blue polo with the Mastery logo. All students may wear navy or black bottoms and the shoes of their choice.

Our Team

Jessie Gismondi, Principal

Jessie Gismondi is the founding principal for Cramer Hill Upper. Before joining the Cramer Hill team, she was the assistant principal of instruction at North Camden Elementary (which merged with Cramer Hill in 2017), and a teacher at Mastery’s Mann Elementary in Philadelphia. She is a passionate leader who is looking to inspire her students and staff with joy and positive energy!

Principal Gismondi received her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Joe’s University in Philadelphia and earned her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

She loves working in Camden and has grown to love the community and the relationships she has built there. As a Philadelphia native, she enjoys being able to work so close to home.
